How To Uninstall festival-mr On Debian 9

To uninstall festival-mr just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just festival-mr

sudo apt-get remove festival-mr

This will remove just the festival-mr package itself.

Uninstall festival-mr and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove festival-mr

This will remove the festival-mr package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for festival-mr then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge festival-mr

Or similarly, like this festival-mr

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove festival-mr
