How To Uninstall file-kanji On Debian 9

To uninstall file-kanji just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just file-kanji

kanji code checkerDebian 9.0misc1.1-16+b2
sudo apt-get remove file-kanji

This will remove just the file-kanji package itself.

Uninstall file-kanji and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove file-kanji

This will remove the file-kanji package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for file-kanji then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge file-kanji

Or similarly, like this file-kanji

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove file-kanji
