How To Uninstall filter On Debian 9

To uninstall filter just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just filter

program that filters local email via forward/pipeDebian 9.0mail2.6.3+ds1-3
sudo apt-get remove filter

This will remove just the filter package itself.

Uninstall filter and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove filter

This will remove the filter package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for filter then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge filter

Or similarly, like this filter

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove filter
