How To Uninstall findutils On Debian 9

To uninstall findutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just findutils

utilities for finding files--find, xargsDebian 9.0utils4.6.0+git+20161106-2
sudo apt-get remove findutils

This will remove just the findutils package itself.

Uninstall findutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove findutils

This will remove the findutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for findutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge findutils

Or similarly, like this findutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove findutils
