How To Uninstall finger On Debian 9

To uninstall finger just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just finger

user information lookup programDebian 9.0net0.17-15.1
sudo apt-get remove finger

This will remove just the finger package itself.

Uninstall finger and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove finger

This will remove the finger package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for finger then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge finger

Or similarly, like this finger

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove finger
