How To Uninstall fio On Debian 9

To uninstall fio just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fio

flexible I/O testerDebian 9.0utils2.16-1
sudo apt-get remove fio

This will remove just the fio package itself.

Uninstall fio and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fio

This will remove the fio package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fio then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fio

Or similarly, like this fio

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fio
