How To Uninstall fiona On Debian 9

To uninstall fiona just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fiona

Command line tool for reading/writing vector geospatial dataDebian 9.0python1.7.1-1
sudo apt-get remove fiona

This will remove just the fiona package itself.

Uninstall fiona and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fiona

This will remove the fiona package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fiona then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fiona

Or similarly, like this fiona

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fiona
