How To Uninstall firebird-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall firebird-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firebird-dev

Development files for FirebirdDebian 9.0libdevel3.0.1.32609.ds4-14
sudo apt-get remove firebird-dev

This will remove just the firebird-dev package itself.

Uninstall firebird-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firebird-dev

This will remove the firebird-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firebird-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firebird-dev

Or similarly, like this firebird-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firebird-dev
