How To Uninstall firefox-esr-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall firefox-esr-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firefox-esr-dev

Development files for the Gecko engine libraryDebian 9.0libdevel45.9.0esr-1
sudo apt-get remove firefox-esr-dev

This will remove just the firefox-esr-dev package itself.

Uninstall firefox-esr-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firefox-esr-dev

This will remove the firefox-esr-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firefox-esr-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firefox-esr-dev

Or similarly, like this firefox-esr-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firefox-esr-dev
