How To Uninstall firefox-esr On Debian 9

To uninstall firefox-esr just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firefox-esr

Mozilla Firefox web browser - Extended Support Release (ESR)Debian 9.0web45.9.0esr-1
sudo apt-get remove firefox-esr

This will remove just the firefox-esr package itself.

Uninstall firefox-esr and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firefox-esr

This will remove the firefox-esr package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firefox-esr then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firefox-esr

Or similarly, like this firefox-esr

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firefox-esr
