How To Uninstall firewall-applet On Debian 9

To uninstall firewall-applet just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just firewall-applet

panel applet providing status information of firewalldDebian 9.0net0.4.4.2-1
sudo apt-get remove firewall-applet

This will remove just the firewall-applet package itself.

Uninstall firewall-applet and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove firewall-applet

This will remove the firewall-applet package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for firewall-applet then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge firewall-applet

Or similarly, like this firewall-applet

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove firewall-applet
