How To Uninstall fish-common On Debian 9

To uninstall fish-common just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fish-common

friendly interactive shell (architecture-independent files)Debian 9.0shells2.4.0-1
sudo apt-get remove fish-common

This will remove just the fish-common package itself.

Uninstall fish-common and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fish-common

This will remove the fish-common package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fish-common then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fish-common

Or similarly, like this fish-common

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fish-common
