How To Uninstall flac On Debian 9

To uninstall flac just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just flac

Free Lossless Audio Codec - command line toolsDebian 9.0sound1.3.2-1
sudo apt-get remove flac

This will remove just the flac package itself.

Uninstall flac and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove flac

This will remove the flac package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for flac then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge flac

Or similarly, like this flac

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove flac
