How To Uninstall fontforge On Debian 9

To uninstall fontforge just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fontforge

font editorDebian 9.0fonts1:20161005~dfsg-4
sudo apt-get remove fontforge

This will remove just the fontforge package itself.

Uninstall fontforge and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fontforge

This will remove the fontforge package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fontforge then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fontforge

Or similarly, like this fontforge

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fontforge
