How To Uninstall fonts-cmu On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-cmu just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-cmu

sets the computer modern unicode fontsDebian 9.0fonts0.7.0-3
sudo apt-get remove fonts-cmu

This will remove just the fonts-cmu package itself.

Uninstall fonts-cmu and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-cmu

This will remove the fonts-cmu package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-cmu then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-cmu

Or similarly, like this fonts-cmu

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-cmu
