How To Uninstall fonts-indic On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-indic just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-indic

Meta package to install all Indian language fontsDebian 9.0metapackages2:1.2
sudo apt-get remove fonts-indic

This will remove just the fonts-indic package itself.

Uninstall fonts-indic and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-indic

This will remove the fonts-indic package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-indic then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-indic

Or similarly, like this fonts-indic

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-indic
