How To Uninstall fonts-ipamj-mincho On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-ipamj-mincho just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-ipamj-mincho

Japanese OpenType font, IPAmj Mincho FontDebian 9.0fonts003.01-2
sudo apt-get remove fonts-ipamj-mincho

This will remove just the fonts-ipamj-mincho package itself.

Uninstall fonts-ipamj-mincho and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-ipamj-mincho

This will remove the fonts-ipamj-mincho package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-ipamj-mincho then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-ipamj-mincho

Or similarly, like this fonts-ipamj-mincho

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-ipamj-mincho
