How To Uninstall fonts-liberation On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-liberation just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-liberation

Fonts with the same metrics as Times, Arial and CourierDebian 9.0fonts1:1.07.4-2
sudo apt-get remove fonts-liberation

This will remove just the fonts-liberation package itself.

Uninstall fonts-liberation and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-liberation

This will remove the fonts-liberation package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-liberation then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-liberation

Or similarly, like this fonts-liberation

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-liberation
