How To Uninstall fonts-liberation2 On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-liberation2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-liberation2

Fonts with the same metrics as Times, Arial and Courier (v2)Debian 9.0fonts2.00.1-3
sudo apt-get remove fonts-liberation2

This will remove just the fonts-liberation2 package itself.

Uninstall fonts-liberation2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-liberation2

This will remove the fonts-liberation2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-liberation2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-liberation2

Or similarly, like this fonts-liberation2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-liberation2
