How To Uninstall fonts-lohit-deva On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-lohit-deva just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-lohit-deva

Lohit TrueType font for Devanagari scriptDebian 9.0fonts2.5.3-1
sudo apt-get remove fonts-lohit-deva

This will remove just the fonts-lohit-deva package itself.

Uninstall fonts-lohit-deva and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-lohit-deva

This will remove the fonts-lohit-deva package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-lohit-deva then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-lohit-deva

Or similarly, like this fonts-lohit-deva

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-lohit-deva
