How To Uninstall fonts-lyx On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-lyx just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-lyx

TrueType versions of some TeX fonts used by LyXDebian 9.0fonts2.2.2-1
sudo apt-get remove fonts-lyx

This will remove just the fonts-lyx package itself.

Uninstall fonts-lyx and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-lyx

This will remove the fonts-lyx package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-lyx then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-lyx

Or similarly, like this fonts-lyx

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-lyx
