How To Uninstall fonts-ocr-a On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-ocr-a just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-ocr-a

ANSI font readable by the computers of the 1960sDebian 9.0fonts1.0-6
sudo apt-get remove fonts-ocr-a

This will remove just the fonts-ocr-a package itself.

Uninstall fonts-ocr-a and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-ocr-a

This will remove the fonts-ocr-a package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-ocr-a then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-ocr-a

Or similarly, like this fonts-ocr-a

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-ocr-a
