How To Uninstall fonts-sil-lateef On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-sil-lateef just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-sil-lateef

OpenType Arabic font for Sindhi and other languages of South AsiaDebian 9.0fonts1.001-1
sudo apt-get remove fonts-sil-lateef

This will remove just the fonts-sil-lateef package itself.

Uninstall fonts-sil-lateef and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-sil-lateef

This will remove the fonts-sil-lateef package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-sil-lateef then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-sil-lateef

Or similarly, like this fonts-sil-lateef

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-sil-lateef
