How To Uninstall fonts-takao-gothic On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-takao-gothic just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-takao-gothic

Japanese TrueType font set, Takao Gothic FontsDebian 9.0fonts00303.01-1
sudo apt-get remove fonts-takao-gothic

This will remove just the fonts-takao-gothic package itself.

Uninstall fonts-takao-gothic and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-takao-gothic

This will remove the fonts-takao-gothic package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-takao-gothic then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-takao-gothic

Or similarly, like this fonts-takao-gothic

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-takao-gothic
