How To Uninstall fonts-taml-tamu On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-taml-tamu just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-taml-tamu

TAMu family of non Unicode fonts for Tamil scriptDebian 9.0fonts1.0-3
sudo apt-get remove fonts-taml-tamu

This will remove just the fonts-taml-tamu package itself.

Uninstall fonts-taml-tamu and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-taml-tamu

This will remove the fonts-taml-tamu package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-taml-tamu then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-taml-tamu

Or similarly, like this fonts-taml-tamu

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-taml-tamu
