How To Uninstall fonts-taml On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-taml just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-taml

Meta package to install all Tamil fontsDebian 9.0fonts2:1.3
sudo apt-get remove fonts-taml

This will remove just the fonts-taml package itself.

Uninstall fonts-taml and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-taml

This will remove the fonts-taml package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-taml then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-taml

Or similarly, like this fonts-taml

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-taml
