How To Uninstall fonts-umeplus On Debian 9

To uninstall fonts-umeplus just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonts-umeplus

Japanese TrueType gothic fonts, based on Umefont and M+FontDebian 9.0fonts20161108-1
sudo apt-get remove fonts-umeplus

This will remove just the fonts-umeplus package itself.

Uninstall fonts-umeplus and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonts-umeplus

This will remove the fonts-umeplus package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonts-umeplus then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonts-umeplus

Or similarly, like this fonts-umeplus

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonts-umeplus
