How To Uninstall fonttools On Debian 9

To uninstall fonttools just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fonttools

Converts OpenType and TrueType fonts to and from XMLDebian 9.0fonts3.0-1
sudo apt-get remove fonttools

This will remove just the fonttools package itself.

Uninstall fonttools and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fonttools

This will remove the fonttools package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fonttools then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fonttools

Or similarly, like this fonttools

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fonttools
