How To Uninstall fossil On Debian 9

To uninstall fossil just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fossil

DSCM with built-in wiki, http interface and server, tickets databaseDebian 9.0vcs1:1.37-1
sudo apt-get remove fossil

This will remove just the fossil package itself.

Uninstall fossil and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fossil

This will remove the fossil package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fossil then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fossil

Or similarly, like this fossil

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fossil
