How To Uninstall fpdns On Debian 9

To uninstall fpdns just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fpdns

remotely determine DNS server versionDebian 9.0net20130404-1
sudo apt-get remove fpdns

This will remove just the fpdns package itself.

Uninstall fpdns and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fpdns

This will remove the fpdns package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fpdns then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fpdns

Or similarly, like this fpdns

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fpdns
