How To Uninstall fping On Debian 9

To uninstall fping just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fping

sends ICMP ECHO_REQUEST packets to network hostsDebian 9.0net3.15-1
sudo apt-get remove fping

This will remove just the fping package itself.

Uninstall fping and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fping

This will remove the fping package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fping then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fping

Or similarly, like this fping

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fping
