How To Uninstall freebsd-buildutils On Debian 9

To uninstall freebsd-buildutils just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just freebsd-buildutils

Utilities for building FreeBSD sourcesDebian 9.0devel10.3~svn296373-6
sudo apt-get remove freebsd-buildutils

This will remove just the freebsd-buildutils package itself.

Uninstall freebsd-buildutils and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove freebsd-buildutils

This will remove the freebsd-buildutils package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for freebsd-buildutils then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge freebsd-buildutils

Or similarly, like this freebsd-buildutils

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove freebsd-buildutils
