How To Uninstall freecdb On Debian 9

To uninstall freecdb just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just freecdb

creating and reading constant databasesDebian 9.0utils0.75
sudo apt-get remove freecdb

This will remove just the freecdb package itself.

Uninstall freecdb and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove freecdb

This will remove the freecdb package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for freecdb then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge freecdb

Or similarly, like this freecdb

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove freecdb
