How To Uninstall freetds-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall freetds-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just freetds-dev

MS SQL and Sybase client library (static libs and headers)Debian 9.0devel0.91-6.1+b4
sudo apt-get remove freetds-dev

This will remove just the freetds-dev package itself.

Uninstall freetds-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove freetds-dev

This will remove the freetds-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for freetds-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge freetds-dev

Or similarly, like this freetds-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove freetds-dev
