How To Uninstall fswebcam On Debian 9

To uninstall fswebcam just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fswebcam

Tiny and flexible webcam programDebian 9.0graphics20140113-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove fswebcam

This will remove just the fswebcam package itself.

Uninstall fswebcam and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fswebcam

This will remove the fswebcam package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fswebcam then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fswebcam

Or similarly, like this fswebcam

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fswebcam
