How To Uninstall ftdi-eeprom On Debian 9

To uninstall ftdi-eeprom just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ftdi-eeprom

Tool for reading/erasing/flashing FTDI USB chip EEPROMsDebian 9.0utils1.3-2+b2
sudo apt-get remove ftdi-eeprom

This will remove just the ftdi-eeprom package itself.

Uninstall ftdi-eeprom and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ftdi-eeprom

This will remove the ftdi-eeprom package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ftdi-eeprom then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ftdi-eeprom

Or similarly, like this ftdi-eeprom

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ftdi-eeprom
