How To Uninstall ftp-ssl On Debian 9

To uninstall ftp-ssl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ftp-ssl

FTP client with SSL or TLS encryption supportDebian 9.0net0.17.34+0.2-4
sudo apt-get remove ftp-ssl

This will remove just the ftp-ssl package itself.

Uninstall ftp-ssl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ftp-ssl

This will remove the ftp-ssl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ftp-ssl then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ftp-ssl

Or similarly, like this ftp-ssl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ftp-ssl
