How To Uninstall ftpd-ssl On Debian 9

To uninstall ftpd-ssl just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ftpd-ssl

FTP server with SSL encryption supportDebian 9.0net0.17.36+0.3-2
sudo apt-get remove ftpd-ssl

This will remove just the ftpd-ssl package itself.

Uninstall ftpd-ssl and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ftpd-ssl

This will remove the ftpd-ssl package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ftpd-ssl then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ftpd-ssl

Or similarly, like this ftpd-ssl

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ftpd-ssl
