How To Uninstall ftpwatch On Debian 9

To uninstall ftpwatch just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just ftpwatch

Notifies you of changes on remote ftp serversDebian 9.0net1.23
sudo apt-get remove ftpwatch

This will remove just the ftpwatch package itself.

Uninstall ftpwatch and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove ftpwatch

This will remove the ftpwatch package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for ftpwatch then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge ftpwatch

Or similarly, like this ftpwatch

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove ftpwatch
