How To Uninstall fvwm On Debian 9

To uninstall fvwm just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fvwm

F(?) Virtual Window ManagerDebian 9.0x111:2.6.7-3
sudo apt-get remove fvwm

This will remove just the fvwm package itself.

Uninstall fvwm and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fvwm

This will remove the fvwm package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fvwm then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fvwm

Or similarly, like this fvwm

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fvwm
