How To Uninstall fvwm1 On Debian 9

To uninstall fvwm1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fvwm1

Old version of the F(?) Virtual Window ManagerDebian 9.0x111.24r-56+b1
sudo apt-get remove fvwm1

This will remove just the fvwm1 package itself.

Uninstall fvwm1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fvwm1

This will remove the fvwm1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fvwm1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fvwm1

Or similarly, like this fvwm1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fvwm1
