How To Uninstall fwsnort On Debian 9

To uninstall fwsnort just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fwsnort

Snort-to-iptables rule translatorDebian 9.0admin1.6.5-4
sudo apt-get remove fwsnort

This will remove just the fwsnort package itself.

Uninstall fwsnort and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fwsnort

This will remove the fwsnort package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fwsnort then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fwsnort

Or similarly, like this fwsnort

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fwsnort
