How To Uninstall fwupd On Debian 9

To uninstall fwupd just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fwupd

Firmware update daemonDebian 9.0admin0.7.4-2
sudo apt-get remove fwupd

This will remove just the fwupd package itself.

Uninstall fwupd and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fwupd

This will remove the fwupd package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fwupd then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fwupd

Or similarly, like this fwupd

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fwupd
