How To Uninstall fwupdate On Debian 9

To uninstall fwupdate just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just fwupdate

sudo apt-get remove fwupdate

This will remove just the fwupdate package itself.

Uninstall fwupdate and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove fwupdate

This will remove the fwupdate package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for fwupdate then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge fwupdate

Or similarly, like this fwupdate

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove fwupdate
