How To Uninstall libarpack++2-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall libarpack++2-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libarpack++2-dev

Object-oriented version of the ARPACK package (development)Debian 9.0libdevel2.3-6
sudo apt-get remove libarpack++2-dev

This will remove just the libarpack++2-dev package itself.

Uninstall libarpack++2-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libarpack++2-dev

This will remove the libarpack++2-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libarpack++2-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libarpack++2-dev

Or similarly, like this libarpack++2-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libarpack++2-dev
