How To Uninstall libarpack2-dbg On Debian 9

To uninstall libarpack2-dbg just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libarpack2-dbg

Fortran77 subroutines to solve large scale eigenvalue problems (debug)Debian 9.0debug3.4.0-1+b1
sudo apt-get remove libarpack2-dbg

This will remove just the libarpack2-dbg package itself.

Uninstall libarpack2-dbg and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libarpack2-dbg

This will remove the libarpack2-dbg package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libarpack2-dbg then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libarpack2-dbg

Or similarly, like this libarpack2-dbg

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libarpack2-dbg
