How To Uninstall libasound2-data On Debian 9

To uninstall libasound2-data just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libasound2-data

Configuration files and profiles for ALSA driversDebian 9.0libs1.1.3-5
sudo apt-get remove libasound2-data

This will remove just the libasound2-data package itself.

Uninstall libasound2-data and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libasound2-data

This will remove the libasound2-data package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libasound2-data then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libasound2-data

Or similarly, like this libasound2-data

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libasound2-data
