How To Uninstall libastrometry-dev On Debian 9

To uninstall libastrometry-dev just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libastrometry-dev

Astrometry plate solver (development files)Debian 9.0libdevel0.70+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove libastrometry-dev

This will remove just the libastrometry-dev package itself.

Uninstall libastrometry-dev and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libastrometry-dev

This will remove the libastrometry-dev package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libastrometry-dev then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libastrometry-dev

Or similarly, like this libastrometry-dev

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libastrometry-dev
