How To Uninstall libaudit1 On Debian 9

To uninstall libaudit1 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libaudit1

Dynamic library for security auditingDebian 9.0libs1:2.6.7-2
sudo apt-get remove libaudit1

This will remove just the libaudit1 package itself.

Uninstall libaudit1 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libaudit1

This will remove the libaudit1 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libaudit1 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libaudit1

Or similarly, like this libaudit1

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libaudit1
