How To Uninstall libgsl2 On Debian 9

To uninstall libgsl2 just follow these instructions.

Uninstall just libgsl2

GNU Scientific Library (GSL) -- library packageDebian 9.0libs2.3+dfsg-1
sudo apt-get remove libgsl2

This will remove just the libgsl2 package itself.

Uninstall libgsl2 and its dependencies

sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libgsl2

This will remove the libgsl2 package and any other dependant packages which are no longer needed.

Purging your config/data too

If you also want to delete your local/config files for libgsl2 then this will work.

 Caution! Purged config/data can not be restored by reinstalling the package.
sudo apt-get purge libgsl2

Or similarly, like this libgsl2

sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libgsl2
